DeepTrace ELA — Free Online Image Forensics Tool
By Shaheer Ul Hassan (Muhammad Shaheer) — Agentic AI & Systems Engineer
Upload any image to detect digital tampering, forgery, and JPEG compression anomalies using Error Level Analysis (ELA). Free, open-source, no signup required.
What is Error Level Analysis?
Error Level Analysis (ELA) is a digital image forensics technique that identifies regions with different compression levels within a JPEG image. When an image is modified (spliced, cloned, or airbrushed), the altered region carries a mismatched JPEG compression history. This tool re-compresses the uploaded image and computes pixel-level differences to highlight potential manipulation.
How to Use
- Upload a JPEG, PNG, or WebP image (up to 10 MB)
- Click "Run Forensic Analysis" to process the image
- Review the ELA heatmap, verdict, and anomaly regions
